Ogden kitchen remodelingAre you planning an Ogden kitchen remodeling project this fall? If you have big plans for a kitchen upgrade, why not start today? When it comes to any home remodeling project, however, it’s important to thoroughly think through all the details beforehand. One design element many homeowners often overlook is the cabinet hardware. Make sure you spend some time considering your options and/or speaking with your contractor. Here are several great tips to help you end up with the perfect cabinet knobs and pulls on your kitchen cabinets.

Consider Your Personal Style

Whether you’re planning a kitchen or bathroom remodeling project, make sure your design embodies your personality. Determine if you like it funky, fresh, or formula; and plan your Ogden kitchen remodeling project accordingly.

Keep the Cabinets in Mind

Whatever your personal style, make sure you keep your cabinet selection in mind. The cabinet hardware you select for your Ogden kitchen remodeling project should complement or contrast to suit your personal preferences.

Remember Your Fixtures

The color of the fixtures in your space should also play a role during your Ogden kitchen remodeling project. If your microwave, refrigerator, and lights are silver, bronze cabinet hardware may not be the best choice.

Featured Project: A Place to Gather

These empty-nesters were more than ready to renovate the well-used 24-yr old kitchen in their 1992 home. The minor cosmetic face-lifts (new paint and carpet) made in 2006 had lost their luster long ago. Along with modernizing the kitchen, they knew it was time to create an open space their large family of 6 married children & 20 grandchildren could be comfortable in.

The white laminate counter tops, faded discolored maple cabinets, and hammered 2’’ maple flooring were at the top of the demo list. Although the clients claimed no particular style, their wish-list for the renewed kitchen implied an Industrial Farmhouse feel. Read more
